The MSMBS curriculum offers a dynamic, interdisciplinary approach with a wide selection of electives across STEM fields, allowing you to tailor your studies to your interests.
Students can choose from specialized concentrations—many unique among master’s programs in Alabama—including Cancer Biology, Genetics and Genomic Sciences, Neuroscience, Pharmacology, Bioinformatics, and Immunology.
We are currently recruiting for our Fall 2026 cohort. Designed for individuals who have completed a bachelor’s degree, the program also offers flexible options for working professionals. UAB employees may be eligible for tuition reimbursement.
