Clinical Dietitian Sharon Smalling will take a look at the latest research on dairy and its impact on health risks, including cancer and cardiovascular disease. We'll also gain insight into the nutritional differences between dairy and plant-based milks. Additionally, Sharon will explore what the 2025 Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee has to say about plant-based milk and how it fits into a healthy diet.

About Our Guest
Sharon Smalling, MPH, RD, LD, practiced clinical dietitian for 42 years, retiring in August 2022. She specialized in Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation and treated outpatients with various health issues. Before retiring, she held positions in several professional organizations and provided numerous presentations to communities, businesses, and state and national professional organizations. Today, she volunteers by reading to second graders through the Barbara Bush Foundation for Literacy, and cooks with individuals with disabilities at Belong Kitchen in Houston, Texas.
