MLK's Beloved Community

This is a past event.

Honoring the memory and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., UAB students join forces with Birmingham citizens to empower and strengthen our community, moving us closer to Dr. King’s global vision of a “Beloved Community.”

This year's event (formerly known as the "MLK Day of Service") will kick-off UAB's Creed Week highlighting the tenets of Diversity and Service.

Registration takes place in the Campus Recreation Center beginning at 9:00am, immediately followed by brunch. Volunteers depart for their assigned service sites from 11:00am - 1:00pm.

Pre-registration is required for this event, so please check back frequently for service site updates. For waiver details, event information, and disability accommodations, contact or call 205-934-8020.
