The UAB Department of Sociology invites you to the inagural event in the 'Mike' Wilson Lecture Series. 

Title"Precision Medicine’s Blind Spot: Women's Health Research Agenda to Transform Medicine for All"

Sara Murray Jordan Professor of Medicine, Tufts University School of Medicine

Description: Sex differences extending to the cellular level impact everything from disease pathways to treatment efficacy. Dr. Bird will talk about a vision for rigorous, actionable research on Women’s Health. Knowledge gaps in this area create an opportunity to accelerate and transform health science to improve diagnostic accuracy, optimize therapeutics, and refine prevention and treatment strategies to improve health and healthcare for everyone.

Following the lecture, there will be a Q&A session and then a light reception.

Parking: There is limited parking available at the Alumni Society House in a dedicated lot, as well as street parking.
