Mental Health Matters: Foundations for Supporting Student Mental Health

This is a past event.

Presented for UAB faculty by Lynette Myers. This introductory workshop will provide participants with basic information to help better understand and support mental health for our students and our campus. Workshop topics include information about the prevalence of mental health concerns and their impact on college students nationally as well as at UAB, recognizing students in distress, strategies for supporting students with mental health concerns, campus and community resources available for student support, setting boundaries and self-care, and strategies for promoting well-being in students.

The registration button on this page is for the current month only. Check back soon to register for other offerings of this workshop.

Registration is required for in-person CTL events. UAB faculty are always welcome to show up to in-person CTL events without registering, but we ask that if food is being served, you wait until all registered participants have gotten their food before serving yourself.
