This seminar is part of the UAB Research Center of Excellence in Arsenicals Grand Rounds. The goal of the Center is to develop mechanism-based highly efficacious medical countermeasures against arsenical chemical warfare agents.
Dr. Ziad Kazzi, associate professor at the department of Emergency Medicine at Emory University, will be presenting. This Grand Rounds seminar will provide participants with an understanding of the Beirut explosion incident and its aftermath, an overview of clinical injuries sustained from the explosion, as well as the public health implications of this chemical explosion.
