DESCRIPTION:The UAB Math Talent Search Day began in March 2003\, sponsored 
 by the Department of Math and the College of Arts and Sciences (then the U
 AB School of Natural Sciences and Mathematic). The event continues to be h
 eld every year during the fall\, bringing students and their teachers/coac
 hes to UAB for this math contest with a twist.\n\nThe two-hour written tes
 t is designed for 9th\, 10th\, 11th\, and 12th grade students and incorpor
 ates both algebra and geometry skills\, emphasizing reasoning ability. The
  four highest scorers in each grade are recognized\, and school awards are
  presented to the three schools having the highest composite scores of thr
 ee students in each grade.\n\nSchools must register their students to atte
 nd the contest. The cost is $10 per student.\n\nSchedule\n\n8:00am - Regis
