This in-person [MT419A] program is intended for those new to management at UAB and those recently promoted to a people-leader position. All participants should have direct reports.
What You'll Learn
By the end of this session, you will be able to:
Day One:
1) Identify differences between leading and managing.
2) Review and reflect upon pre-session assessment; begin development plan.
3) Analyze the application of leadership best practices.
Day Two:
1) Review change and transition research and apply it to real-world experience.
2) Identify strategies that build trust and foster a positive workplace culture.
