DESCRIPTION:All members of the UAB community interested in using the UAB Li
 braries' 3D printers are required to complete introductory 3D printer trai
 ning before using any 3D printing equipment. \n\nThis session is recommend
 ed for beginners and individuals who have never used a 3D printer before. 
 No previous experience with 3D printing is required and no additional soft
 ware is needed to begin 3D printing during this workshop.  Attendees are e
 ncouraged to bring their own laptops or mobile devices to participate in t
 his workshop. This session includes both classroom training and a tour of 
 Sterne Library 3D Printing.\n\nThis session will cover the following:\n\nS
 afety requirements for 3D printing spaces in the UAB LibrariesUAB Librarie
 s 3D Printing GuidelinesDesktop 3D printing terminology and conceptsAvaila
 ble 3D printer hardware in the UAB Libraries Access to the browser-based s
 ystem 3DPrinterOS Hands-on introduction to the process for setting up and 
 submitting models for printing in 3DPrinterOSThis is a Bring Your Own Devi
 ce (BYOD) event that includes hands-on practice setting up files to be 3D 
 printed. Please bring a laptop or tablet to participate in the hands-on po
 rtion of the workshop. No special software is needed. \n\nAll participants
  will be asked to review\, certifiy\, and submit the UAB Libraries 3D Prin
 ting Guidelines electronically via Adobe Sign. Failure to certify the guid
 elines through Adobe Sign will result in a user's 3D printer access being 
 revoked.
