Join the Lifespan Comprehensive Sickle Cell Center for our upcoming Symposium featuring Dr. Suvankar Majumdar. He will be speaking on Intraveneous Citrulline: A Step Forward for a Potential Novel Therapy for Sickle Cell Pain Crisis.
Suvankar "Seve" Majumdar is Chief of Hematology at Children's National Medical Center overseeing hematological services in the Washington metropolitan area. He has broad expertise in clinical and translational research with a special interest in clinical trial design, currently conducting investigator-initiated phase 1/2 clinical trials for acute pain in sickle cell disease. Seve has received NIH funding serving as PI on R01 and U-grants on blood safety in hemoglobinopathy and was one of the original planning members in establishing the American Thrombosis Hemostasis Network, a web-based registry for persons with bleeding and clotting disorders. Dr. Majumdar has mentored many medical students, residents and post-doctoral students, and is a compassionate physician who loves taking care of children with hematological disorders.
