About this Event
Into the Streets is a bi-annual program sponsored by the Leadership and Service Council designed to connect UAB students, faculty, and staff to the Birmingham community through a day of service. Each fall and spring volunteers come together to help the university accomplish its mission of encouraging partnerships that improve education, health, economic prosperity and quality of life.
The event is broken into multiple two-hour shifts throughout the day. Each volunteer must register to participate. Upon arrival at your service site, you will be greeted by a student Site Leader from the Leadership & Service Council.
Kickoff will begin at 8:30am at the Hill Student Center Amphitheater for check-in, breakfast, and an education component before departing for service.
For disability accommodations, contact getinvolved@uab.edu.
