https://www.uab.edu/students/involvement/community-service/volunteerism/into-the-streetsInto the Streets is a bi-annual program sponsored by the Leadership and Service Council, UAB Housing & Residence Life, and Live HealthSmart Alabama designed to connect UAB students, faculty, and staff to the Birmingham community through a day of service. Each fall and spring semester, Blazers come together to help the university accomplish its mission of encouraging partnerships that improve education, health, economic prosperity, and quality of life.
Each volunteer must register to participate (registration will open closer to the event date). Volunteers are asked to report to McMahon Hall by 9:00am on Sep. 14 for a kick-off which includes check-in, breakfast from Chick-fil-A, and an educational component before departing for service.
