A Day of Inspiration for Innovative Teaching
Description: Come and join us at the CTL and complete four workshops in one day. Two Using AI in the Classroom workshops and two Teaching Effectiveness workshops. During this day you will have the opportunity to earn up to 40,000 CTL points.
Can't commit to the entire day? No problem! Below is the agenda for our sessions, and we welcome you to attend any specific workshop of interest:
- 9:00am-10:30am Using AI in the Classroom: Introduction to AI
- 10:35am - 12:05pm Teaching Effectiveness: Cheat-Proof your Course - Incentivizing Investment in Authentic Work
- 12:10pm - 12:25pm Lunch
- 12:25pm - 1:40pm Using AI in the Classroom: Experiences of Using AI in the Classroom
- 1:45pm - 3:00pm Teaching Effectiveness: Creating your Teaching Portfolio
Please note: The UAB Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) presents workshops on teaching practice for UAB teaching faculty (including adjunct instructors), Instructors of Record, and teaching staff. Academic advisors and staff who work directly with students are also approved to come to non-teaching focused workshops. This event is not intended for UAB graduate or Postdoctoral Scholars, we invite all graduate and postdoctoral students to attend our workshop series titled: CTL LIFT.
