Description:
It would be ideal to have clinical decision support (CDS) governance in place before implementing any CDS process, but without a deep understanding of an institution’s goals, culture, resources, and financial wherewithal, CDS can fail.
This clinical informatics seminar will explore different types of governance structures; the desired participants in those structures; and the cultural competencies required. Governance for prioritization is complex, and requires well-defined processes for intake, evaluation, and CDS development.
