Topic: "An Integrated Approach to Ovarian Cancer Diagnostics and Therapeutics"
Description: The McDonald laboratory at the Georgia Institute of Technology takes an integrated approach to the development of more effective cancer diagnostics and therapeutics.
In this talk there will be an overview of recent advancements in:
1) The application of machine-learning algorithms to identify accurate diagnostic biomarkers of ovarian cancer based on changes in blood metabolic levels associated with the disease
2) The highly accurate targeted delivery of small therapeutic RNAs to ovarian and other solid tumors by microscopic nanoparticles (nanohydrogels)
