Join the UAB Commission on the Status of Women for a brown bag lunch and discussion of the book "How Women Rise: Break the 12 Habits Holding You Back from Your Next Raise, Promotion or Job." Our inaugural speaker will be Paulette Patterson Dilworth, Ph.D., vice president for diversity, equity and inclusion at UAB. The goal of the seminar is to provide a safe place for UAB women to discuss and debate potential behaviors or "habits" that may be seen as keeping women from reaching their goals or a higher level of success.

As a public institution of higher education, UAB adheres to principles of Free Speech, Civil Discourse and Institutional Neutrality. Freedom of Expression and Use of UAB Facilities Policy allows members of the UAB community to hold events on campus; views expressed do not represent the university, which adheres to institutional neutrality.
