Join us for “Hip Hop Hour: Expression,” an open forum as part of the UAB Office of the Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion’s new Hip Hop Hour series.

The Hip Hop Hour series is designed to use Hip Hop culture and music to connect students to social justice issues, build self-efficacy, and support identity formation by creating culturally responsive curriculum that reflects the interests and popular culture of the students we serve. The third session of the series will explore the various forms of expression that has been birthed out of Hip Hop, particularly those who have been most marginalized in society.

The forum is free and open to students, faculty, and staff. Food will be provided and registration is required.

This event is co-sponsored by the UAB African American Studies Program, UAB Black Student Awareness Committee, and Chasing Health and Wealth.
