Healthy Children Today. Healthy Adults Tomorrow.

Healthy Happy Kids is a six-week childhood obesity prevention program developed by the UAB Minority Health & Health Disparities Research Center (MHRC). It is taught in Birmingham City Schools afterschool programs by UAB nutritionists, with help from student and adult volunteers from UAB and the community. Each week, children learn how good nutrition and an active lifestyle can help them lead healthier lives.

Program funding comes from the MHRC Young Professionals Board.
