Healing Divides through Storytelling with Salaam Green

This is a past event.

Black History Month is a great time to learn more about the many ways we all can be in unity to support mental wellness and well-being of all communities. Building on the use of storytelling as a healing practice, Salaam will demonstrate how stories can help build empathy and create belonging. We will be exploring I am Every Good Thing by Derrick Barnes and Magic City Gospel a book of poems by Birmingham's Ashley Jones. If you have a favorite book by an African American author, please bring it to share (adult or children's books).

Tuesday, February 21 at 1:00pm to 1:30pm
