It’s natural to associate creativity primarily with the arts, but it is also indispensable in science. Lindsay Brainard, Ph.D., assistant professor in the Department of Philosophy, identifies its epistemic value and argues for a novel account of creativity that unifies creative achievements in the arts, sciences, and other domains.
