Great Smokey Mountains National Park $300 students; $330 URec members; $375 non-members

This trip will be a long weekend of hiking, mountain biking and rafting. We will leave on Friday afternoon and set up camp outside of Smokey Mountains National Park. On Saturday morning we will take down camp and complete a long day hike in the park. This will include driving over Newfound Gap and going to Clingman's Dome - the highest point in the park. We will set up camp in the Nantahala National Forest on Saturday night. Sunday morning we will rent mountain bikes and from the NOC and bike at Tsali recreation area. We will camp at the same location in the Nantahala National Forest. Monday we will head to the Ocoee River in eastern Tennessee for whitewater rafting. After we get off the river we will return to Birmingham.

Mandatory pretrip meeting is Monday, August 29 at 6:00pm at the University Rental Center located at the back of the Campus Rec Center.
