Global Awareness-CTL: International Student Insights on the Experience of Studying in the United States

This is a past event.

Presented for UAB faculty by Melissa Hawkins.

In celebration of International Education Week, the CTL’s Global Awareness series will host a panel of UAB international students discussing the experience of adjusting to living and studying in the United States.  Questions will invite the students to consider things that they wish their professors had known about the differences in educational backgrounds they faced upon arrival and what some of their biggest challenges in adjustment were.  As we look towards increased numbers of international students at UAB, join us for this rare opportunity to hear directly from our students’ experiences and perspectives.

Registration is requested for in-person CTL events. UAB faculty members are always welcome to show up to CTL events without registering, but we ask that if food is being served at an in-person event, you wait until all pre-registered attendees have been served before serving yourself.
