The Medical/Clinical Psychology Diversity Committee at the University of Alabama at Birmingham is pleased to offer a virtual graduate application development workshop for individuals from under-represented/disadvantaged backgrounds. This two-day workshop will cover the key aspects of planning and preparing to apply to graduate school, in addition to developing a competitive application for psychology doctoral programs.

This workshop was developed in response to the voices of individuals from under-represented backgrounds who asked for increased information, support, and guidance to assist them in gaining access to higher education. We are committed to diversity, inclusion, and equity in psychology training, and are providing this workshop to support the inclusion of diverse students in our doctoral programs. The goal of this workshop is to increase acceptance to psychology doctoral programs for individuals from underrepresented segments of society.

  • Day 1: Types of graduate programs,  how to prepare before applying & faculty panel Q&A.
  • Day 2: Application components & informal Q&A with current UAB Medical/Clinical Psychology graduate students.

Registration is open to students in all phases/years. Registration closes April 2.
