The Office of the Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is partnering with INTO UAB to host a cultural food drive to benefit UAB students during Community Month 2024. The food drive will focus on collecting culturally relevant food items for the student-focused Blazer Kitchen that are not typically donated. Blazer Kitchen serves many international students throughout the year, and ensuring these students can access foods that are both familiar to them and align with their cultural practices is vital to their overall well-being. An Amazon wish list, created in partnership with INTO UAB and Blazer Kitchen, is available to ensure donors have guidance on what foods to donate. Donations can also be dropped off directly at Blazer Kitchen, located in the Hill Student Center, room 303, as well as various drop-off locations throughout campus.
