This is the last half of a 2-part workshop. Please register for this event on the calendar listing for part 1. If you missed the first half of this presentation, you should start with part 1 next semester rather than attending out of order.
Presented by Tami Long from UAB Employee Assistance & Counseling Center (EACC). Did you know individuals with depression miss an average of 4.8 days of work each year and experience 11.5 days of reduced work productivity? What if you could create a “safe space” for dialogue regarding workplace mental health challenges? In this seminar, participants will learn the skills needed to proactively address the early warning signs of mental health and suicide in the workplace.
o Educate and create awareness of suicide prevention
o Create a forum for dialogue and critical thinking about workplace mental health challenges
o Promote help-seeking and help-giving in the workplace
Presenter: Tami Long, PhD, LPC, CEAP
Must attend Parts 1 and 2 in succession to receive full credit. Part 1 (of 2) was presented last week. If you missed part 1 this semester, you should start next semester rather than attending out of order.
Because of the nature of this presentation, a Zoom stream will not be available for this event. Join us at the CTL to participate in this workshop.
