Wednesday, February 7, 2024 1pm to 3pm
About this Event
Presented through the UAB Center for Teaching and Learning for UAB faculty by Meaghan Barton, MEd, LPC, NCC and Tami Long, PhD, LPC, CEAP.
Did you know individuals with depression miss an average of 4.8 days of work each year and experience 11.5 days of reduced work productivity? What if you could create a “safe space” for dialogue regarding workplace mental health challenges? In this seminar, participants will learn the skills needed to proactively address the early warning signs of mental health and suicide in the workplace.
Objectives:
- Educate and create awareness of suicide prevention
- Create a forum for dialogue and critical thinking about workplace mental health challenges
- Promote help-seeking and help-giving in the workplace
Registration is requested for CTL events. Register by clicking the "I'm interested" button.
