Faculty Well-Being: Stress Management

Description: What do we do about daily stress in our lives? How do we cope and prevent it from happening? In this one-hour seminar, participants will explore the causes, sources, and effects of acute and chronic stress. Participants will also learn the importance of managing daily stressors and develop a stress management personal action plan.
Objectives:
- Define stress
- Discuss stress effects on our body
- Discuss strategies for managing stress
- Provide tips to prevent stress
- Develop a personal action plan
Please Note: This workshop is designed for current UAB teaching faculty, instructors of record, academic advisors, and other student-facing staff members. Graduate students and postdoctoral scholars are invited to attend the CTL LIFT series workshops instead.
