The UAB Department of Music proudly presents “Lift Every Voice: An Afternoon of Spirituals” featuring UAB music professors, Dr. Won Cho, bass, and Dr. Chris Steele, piano. This evocative program celebrates the enduring legacy of African American spirituals through powerful and moving works by composers including H.T. Burleigh, Margaret Bonds, Roland Hayes, Uzee Brown, Moses Hogan, and more. Join us for an afternoon of profound musical expression, honoring the resilience, faith, and hope carried through these timeless songs.
