About This Session
This In-Person-BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) bootcamp is designed to help staff and faculty use UAB's Copilot AI tools to the fullest. Through guided practice with both Copilot Free and Copilot for Microsoft 365 (Paid), you'll learn how AI can be used to enhance your productivity and communication. Make sure to bring your laptop to follow along with the demo and get hands-on practice. Participants can come and go as needed.
Participants are expected to already have access to the tools used in this training:

What You'll Learn

First Half of Session (Copilot Free): 1-2:30pm

Using Copilot (web or Edge) to:

Draft emails, summarize messages.

Create meeting agendas or notes.

Generate quick responses or templates.

Brainstorm ideas for newsletters or presentations.

Second Half of Session (Copilot 365-Paid): 2:30-4pm

Outlook: Smart replies, email summarization, scheduling help.

Word: Drafting documents, rewriting for tone, summarizing.

Teams: Meeting recap, action item extraction.

Note: You do not have to stay for the entire training if only one section applies to you.
What to Expect
