Erin Jane Nelson: Living and Working Exhibition Opening
About this Event
1221 10th Avenue South, Birmingham, AL 35205
https://www.uab.edu/aeiva/exhibitions/ejnJoin us for the opening celebration for Living and Working, a survey exhibition of work by Erin Jane Nelson made between 2015 and 2025. Rooted in the ecology of the southeastern United States, Nelson’s work—spanning photography, textiles, and ceramics—draws from vernacular craft traditions and science fiction alike to consider how sentimentality and personal narrative are entangled with ongoing environmental change. Both playful and quietly prophetic, the exhibition finds persistence in the intimate, daily labor of living and working on a changing planet.
This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
