End-of-Life Nursing Education Consortium (ELNEC) Training - 2023
As part of the educational mission of the Center for Palliative and Supportive Care, the End-of-Life Nursing Education Consortium (ELNEC) workshop is offered through the UAB Center for Palliative and Supportive Care. The curriculum is designed to advance end-of-life nursing care, but can be beneficial to other disciplines as well, such as social workers and chaplains.
Modules will include topics on nursing care at end of life, preparation and care at time of death, pain management, ethical/legal issues, cultural considerations, communication, symptom management, quality of care and grief, loss and bereavement.
