The UAB Education Interview Day is a career event for any UAB Students and alumni seeking to work in local and national school districts. This is an opportunity for you to present yourself professionally in-person to a potential employer.

The keys to a successful job fair experience are preparation and follow-up. Here is a checklist to help you get prepared!

• Check In & Networking with Employers: 8:00 am- 9:00 am
• Interviewing: 9:40 am- 3:00 pm

• Complete the pre-interview steps at the Education Interview Day website (required for each student participant).
• Research the list of participating employers
• Make an appointment to get your resume reviewed.
  •  Explore resume resources in Handshake.
  • Be sure to bring copies of your resume!
• Prepare your 30-second elevator pitch.
• Dress professionally. If you need professional attire, be sure to visit the UAB Career Center Career Closet to select items for your interview.
• Don't forget to ask for business cards at the job fair so you can follow up with thank-you notes.
