What is a CV?
The curriculum vitae (CV) is a comprehensive record of your educational and work background. It is a necessary document for applications to graduate school, postdocs, faculty positions, and other academic roles. The main purpose of a CV is to highlight your relevant professional achievements and experiences. Although the CV is just one component of the application process, it is typically the initial document that search committees review. The aim is to present your strengths and qualities in a clear and accessible manner to the committee.
