Derby Days is Sigma Chi's philanthropy week which raises money for cancer research via the Huntsman Cancer Institute. The Call-a-Thon event entails gathering teams of people -- mostly representatives from sororities -- at one location where they call friends, family, alumni, and local businesses to donate toward cancer research. The event is designed to be competitive, and for every dollar raised, points will go toward the sorority or other organization competing in Derby Days.
