Last month, student clinicians helped trainees with identity formation and establishing value systems. Now that we have hopefully gotten an idea of who we are and how our identity relates to where we want to go in life, this month we will discuss how to achieve role clarity. Here, we will discuss how your tasks are (or are not!) related to their career goals, and whether they have resources needed to achieve their goals. Using skills from past sessions (e.g., Leading Difficult Conversations), trainees brainstorm and acquire skills in speaking to their mentors about their development needs.
