Please join us for the ninth annual Darwin Day celebration with a virtual webinar titled, "Behind the Science at UAB: Integrating Research and Medicine to Respond to the Pandemic," featuring:
- Nathan Erdmann, MD, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at UAB. He has helped coordinate UAB’s COVID-19 treatment strategies and trial participation, supervising the ACTT remdesivir study.
- Paul Goepfert, MD is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at UAB. As the Director of the Alabama Vaccine Research Clinic at UAB, he oversees all clinical trials for COVID-19 vaccines.
- Jeanne Marrazzo, MD, MPH, Professor of Medicine and Director of the Division of Infectious Diseases at UAB, is an expert in vaccine-preventable infections and infectious disease outbreaks. She served on Alabama Governor Kay Ivey’s COVID-19 Task Force, leads UAB COVID-19 response initiatives, and treats COVID-19 patients.
