CTL LIFT: Effective Content Delivery
Presented by: Stacy Cofield, PhD
Description: You know you are going to teach, you know the course, and you have the materials. So now what? How do you actually give an effective presentation? Why do some people seem so at ease in front of an audience? Why do others appear stiff or genuinely annoyed to be speaking? This session will explore how you can effectively deliver material, through dynamic lectures, engaging discussions, interactive activities, and multimedia. You will also gain insights into when a particular approach is most effective for you and your course or audience. Lunch will be provided.
Join the CTL LIFT series, and Lean Into Future Teaching
Please note: Offered in partnership with the UAB Graduate School, these workshops are designed exclusively for graduate teaching assistants, or graduate students and postdocs who anticipate a career in positions with teaching responsibilities.
