I logged in 15 minutes late ~ busy working and let time get away from me ~ and the meeting was locked. I assume it's important to be there the whole time, which I understand. So my rating of "Meh" is my own fault, not anyone else's. I'm reviewing it for the benefit of others, so they know it's important to be on time, as I plan to be next time. The one I attended the week before was awesome!!!!
I am SO glad I attended this. I was the only one there, but Khoi proceeded anyway, which I really appreciated. I made several notes of the helpful questions and points that he made. He had plenty of appropriate and helpful prompts to keep the conversation going, and his feedback was helpful. If I need counseling, I would be happy to have him work with me. I expected that I would enjoy whatever the meeting would be about, but it was even better than I expected. It was great to have an hour to talk through this topic with a counselor, even though it has not been very stressful for me. It helps me be more mindful as I begin my workday. Again, very much appreciated.

This was time well spent and I came away with quite a bit of notes... ideas and suggestions for coping and focusing on wins, while keeping balance with reality. Alesia did a great job. I look forward to the next session. It's really great to spend 45 minutes with an experienced, caring counselor who is a great listener and who provides gentle, easy-to-use advice for making daily life a bit more enjoyable, focused, and balanced. These meetings are almost a hidden gem at UAB, although they are publicized and available to all.
