Friday, July 26, 2024 10am to 4:30pm
About this Event
Training in Evidence-Based Approach Resulting in Health Equity:
An Intensive In Community Based Participatory Research (4 days + mentoring)
Do you sometimes feel discouraged about lack of health equity in your field of healthcare?
Do you wish you could do something about it but don’t know how? Now you can!
An evidence-based approach to creating health equity is implementing a Community Based Participatory Research (CBPR) approach, applicable to both program building and to research. The key to CBPR is developing and maintaining an equitable partnership with minoritized communities, recognizing the social determinants of health, and our own privilege.
- Participating in this 4-day intensive will teach you the principles and practice of CBPR.
- The mentoring to follow will support and guide you as you develop your own health-equity focused research or healthcare program.
