UAB will celebrate the power of collaboration and innovation at the 2026 Community-Engaged Scholarship Showcase.

This year’s theme, “Scholarship with a Purpose,” highlights UAB’s commitment to advancing its public mission through meaningful partnerships that improve lives and strengthen communities. The showcase will feature the community-engaged work of faculty and staff that strengthens communities, expands access and opportunity, and improves quality of life—demonstrating how research, teaching, and service become rigorous scholarship when they are intentional, evidence-informed, reflective, and shared.

The scholarship showcase is co-sponsored by the UAB Office of Access & Engagement, the Office of the ProvostCenter for Teaching & LearningCenter for the Study of Community Health, the Service Learning & Undergraduate Research, and Blazer Pulse.

Registration & Parking

The 2026 Community-Engaged Scholarship Showcase is open to UAB students, faculty, staff, and the general public. Registration is required to attend. Parking for non-UAB attendees is available in the 14th Street Public Parking Deck.
