Spring Cleaning for a Cause: Donate professional attire at the Commission on the Status of Professional Success’ annual drive ––
Get a jump on your spring cleaning and make a meaningful difference by donating gently used, professional attire and accessories April 8-9 at the Commission on the Status of Professional Success’ annual Spring Cleaning for a Cause drive. People can bring donations to the lower-level entrance of the Alys Stephens Center located at 1200 10th Ave. South from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The donations will support CSPS in its mission to boost professional success of everyone at UAB and beyond. Collected donations will benefit the UAB Blazer Closet, UAB Collat School of Business Career Closet, the UAB Compassion Closet, and My Sister’s Closet, an outreach program of the YWCA.
Accepted items are:
- Work-appropriate attire: clean suits, jackets, skirts, casual pants, shirts, formal and casual dresses
- Accessories: shoes, handbags, jewelry
- Clothing for the UAB Compassion Closet: Items for patients needing clean, weather-appropriate clothing following trauma or emergency treatment.
The CSPS is dedicated to ensuring that UAB serves the needs of all faculty, staff, and students by promoting and supporting equal opportunities for all. The initiative started in partnership with My Sister’s Closet but has expanded its support to include on-campus career and patient closets. We look forward to seeing you with your donations on April 8 and 9!
