Please join the Institute for Human Rights along with our other co-sponsors from across the College of Arts and Sciences, the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, the DEI offices from the School of Health Professions, Heersink School of Medicine, School of Health Professions, School of Nursing and the School of Public Health as we commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Civil Rights Movement with a week of events continuing with our student panel discussion entitled "Civil Rights & Human Rights: A UAB Student Panel," which includes the following student presenters:
- Mabeli Cid will present “White Supremacists and Latino/Hispanic Men: How are they Related?”
- Marsha Holley will present "Native American Tribes"
- Kelly Jackson will present "American's Last Slave Ship: The Clotilda"
- Summer Parks will present "Issues on Reparations"
- Chadra Pittman will present "Rememberance & Slavery"
Event Details
