The Brown Bag: Lecture Series is hosted by the UAB African American Studies Program. The series explores and addresses the various issues related to the Black Diaspora. Each month, faculty and scholars will be invited to facilitate conversations on the diaspora and its relevance to contemporary issues.

Dr. Verstraet will facilitate "Caribbean Black Writers in Transition," discussing the translation of the Black Caribbean.
