Join UAB Arts in Medicine for a heartwarming opening reception and meet-the-artist event celebrating the power of creativity across generations!
Brushed by Time: A Mother-Daughter Creative Journey features the artwork of Nevrik Bahakel, a vibrant 92-year-old artist who has been creating with us through our virtual creative arts program. Guided by Art Therapist Valerie Hanks, Nevrik’s journey has been lovingly supported by her daughter and caregiver, Martha Holcomb.
This special exhibit showcases the deep connection between an artist and her caregiver—reminding us all that it’s never too late to create, connect, and be inspired.
