What is the relationship between faith and the #MeToo movement? In this talk, scholar-activist Keren McGinity will illuminate the similarities and differences between women’s experiences, speaking truth to create positive change. There will be a Q & A section included in the event. Also, attendees will receive the link to download her new book, #UsToo: How Jewish, Muslim, and Christian Women Changed Our Communities.

Dr. Keren R. McGinity is a Research Associate at the Hadassah-Brandeis Institute at Brandeis University, where she teaches American Studies. She is also the Interfaith Specialist at United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism. Dr. McGinity graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Rutgers University, earned her PhD in History from Brown University, and she was the inaugural Mandell L. Berman Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Contemporary American Jewish Life at the University of Michigan’s Frankel Center for Judaic Studies. Dr. McGinity is a 2018 Forward 50 honoree of most influential American Jews for her clarion call for a Jewish response to the #MeToo movement and she was named on Lilith magazine’s Feminist Highlights of 2023 list.
