Interested in making UAB a more recovery-friendly campus? Want to know more about how to support people with substance use concerns? Curious about substance use disorders, recovery, or ways to navigate relationships to substance use in a college setting? 

Join us for an open session of the Seminar in Addiction Recovery, in which attendees will receive Recovery Ally Training. Students who complete this training will receive a sticker identifying them as Recovery Allies, and will be equipped to have honest and open conversations about substance use and recovery. Attendees will also learn about common misconceptions surrounding substance use disorders, and the simple and easy steps they can take to reduce stigma and judgment around addiction and recovery.
