This event showcases outstanding City as Classroom courses and introduces participants to key UAB offices and programs that promote effective community partnerships. This summit will include presentations by Gareth Jones, Director of Service Learning and Undergraduate Research, Teresa Shufflebarger, Chief Administrative Officer of Live Healthsmart Alabama, and a panel of City as Classroom teachers who will discuss how they developed their courses and sustained their community partnerships. In addition, practical issues including transportation, safety, and communication will also be addressed.
Lunch is provided.
Registration is requested for in-person CTL events. UAB faculty members are always welcome to show up to CTL events without registering, but we ask that if food is being served at an in-person event, you wait until all pre-registered attendees have been served before serving yourself.
