About this Event
The Brown Bag: Lecture Series is hosted by the UAB African American Studies Program. The series explores and addresses the various issues related to the Black Diaspora. Each month, faculty and scholars will be invited to facilitate conversations on the diaspora and its relevance to contemporary issues.
Dr. Tondra Loder-Jackson will present on the under-explored role Black educators played in the civil rights municipal battlegrounds of Tuskegee, Montgomery, Birmingham, and Selma, Alabama between the 1930s and 1960s.
