Dr. Christina Ezemenaka is a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where she provides statistical expertise in study design, methodology, and analysis, including database operations management in the Jackson Heart Study (JHS). Prior to joining UMMC in 2023, she served as a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Nursing at the University of Alabama (UA) in Tuscaloosa, AL. Ezemenaka holds a doctorate in Biostatistics, as well as master’s and bachelor’s degrees in mathematics. Her interdisciplinary biostatistics research interest areas broadly center around personal well-being, including psychological, physical, and clinical outcomes with emphasis on the influence of the social determinants of health (SDOH) and chronic diseases.
