#UABSONBack by popular demand! This 2-day workshop is essential for every nurse educator. We will cover change theory & leadership practices as they relate to the nurse educator among several topics.
Learner Outcomes:
- Describe how the CNE exam is constructed and prepare a personal strategy for success.
- Describe the theoretical underpinnings of selected teaching strategies and common pedagogies.
- Identify best practices in distance accessible, face-to-face, and clinical instruction.
- Select the appropriate evaluation method to measure learning and teaching effectiveness in classroom and clinical settings.
- Interpret findings from examination item analysis.
- Describe common approaches to curricular design and program evaluation.
- Discuss change theory and leadership practices as they relate to the nurse educator.
- Apply quality improvement theory and practices to the nurse educator role.
- Differentiate among models of scholarship and their application to academic nursing practice.
- Articulate expectations for the nurse educator to contribute to scholarship, teaching, and service within an environment of higher education.
